Juice for you service by Brendon Orchards

Enjoy the fruits of *our* labours in *your* glass!

You can now bring your apples to the Greenhouse and have them juiced and pasteurised for you – or just juiced for cider.

Your apples pressed, bottled and pasteurised will cost from £1.50 per bottle.

Part of our ethos at Brendon Orchards is to enable reuse where possible so if you have used washed glass screw-top bottles (old apple juice or standard height wine bottles), maximum 750ml size, with lids, you will pay £1.50 per bottle of Juiced-for-you Apple Juice.

If you need new bottles these will cost an additional £1 per bottle.

We will put new tops on all bottles – unless you are bringing clean wine bottle tops for used wine bottles..

Fresh juice like this is selling in the shops/markets for £4-£4.50 per bottle.

If you just want unpasteurised juice for cider/cider vinegar making then we would charge £1.25 a litre, using your own containers.

The following amounts:

    • 2x 25kg sacks
    • 2x 40ltr flexi-tubs
    • 3 smaller buckets

(all as pictured) will give enough apples for one pressing which can produce up to 20 litres of juice which in turn will fill 26 bottles.

There are a number of factors that will affect the actual yield which can include the variety of apple, the season we’ve had – where apples may be less juicy if it’s been dry, or a really wet summer  may make them much more juicy.

This service is the next level up from bringing your apples to a Community Juicing night where you can bring a maximum of 2 flexi tubs and make about 25 bottles and it would take you an hour.

If you have a large amount of apples that you are happy to press (by yourself or joining up with others) then of course you can still hire one of our wonderful kits to make as many bottles as you like.

This service was tried and tested by our  previous Apple Press Manager Bex during Covid so we decided to revive it in better times to enable you to enjoy the fruits of our labours in a glass!

Please complete this form if you would like to use our Juice for you service.

This service is available throughout the apple harvesting season.  You will ideally drop off your apples the day before pressing and collect the day after, but it may be possible to organise other times by arrangement.

Important note:

    • Your apples will be put straight into the mill to crush for pressing so we ask that they are clean.
    • You should wash them to remove mud (if picked from the floor) or bird poo (if picked from the tree) and discard any bruised fruit.
    • If you see a black hole that goes all the way through it is a sign of a moth that could introduce bacteria so please discard these

It is better to get less juice of a high quality than a larger volume of poor quality juice!
