Apple Press Deposit Terms

£50 Cash Deposit
(Applies to ALL Hires)

As a result of a number of breakages to various elements of the Apple Press Kits in the last few years, the majority of which have been covered by Brendon Orchards, and our growing membership it has been decided to implement a deposit scheme.

This means that ALL hirers will be required to pay a cash deposit of £50* (in an envelope with your name on it) at the time of collection

Without this (in addition to your invoiced hire amount that you can still pay in advance by card or on collection) you will not be able to take your kit away.

On return of your kit, it will be inspected with you to check that it is:

    • Complete – we will provide a checklist to ensure no confusion
    • Clean – ready for the next hirer to use
    • There are no breakages

If there is any requirement for any cleaning of any part of the kit prior to being able to re-hire we will retain a non-negotiable £20

Breakages will be recovered either in full, from the deposit or, if the cost exceeds the deposit amount, clause 8 of the equipment hire agreement will apply:

    • 8. LOSS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT
The client is responsible for any cost(s) as a result of loss or damage to the equipment during the whole hire period. These costs shall not exceed the Unit Cost(s) of the equipment.

We very much hope that we will not need to retain any deposit money and will be able to return this in full when you return your kit.

*£50 represents a very small percentage of the actual cost of the full kit that you will be hiring.
