Guidance for Hiring
Picking up the equipment
Instructions will be given on how to use the equipment.
If you have not prepaid by BACS, payment by card is preferred, with a cheque the second best option. Giving change for cash can present difficulties but correct amount cash payments will be accepted.
Using the equipment
We ask you to please not use the equipment (or prepare any food) if you are suffering from symptoms of any transmissible condition including Covid-19 but also sickness or diarrhoea.
Please clean and rinse your hands and forearms (youu2019ve seen surgeons do it on the telly!) before working on the equipment, especially if working with minced apples and un-pasteurised juice at the hydropress.
Please donu2019t use bleach or other non food-safe chemicals at any time. The risk from these is far higher than from any transmissible disease as they wonu2019t be destroyed by pasteurisation.
Use the equipment as instructed and avoid any sharp items (especially the mill blades).
We recommend that un-pasteurised juice not be used. All juice should be pasteurised according to instructions. If you do make un-pasteurised juice then you must use plastic bottles to avoid the possibility of exploding bottles if the juice ferments.
If you are making juice for re-sale or for use by others, then you must (as before) use your own documented procedures for safe food production.
Please clean the equipment after use to make sure that fruit residue is removed. This minimises the effort of cleaning after return. We reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning as per the deposit terms.
Return of Equipment
Please follow the instructions as for pick-up, i.e. be prompt, and deliver to the double doors
